Abstract

692,700. Golf-bag carriers. SMITH, S. J. Sept. 25, 1950 [Sept. 24, 1949], No. 24567/49. Class 108 (i). A golf-club carrier (Figs. 1 and 2) comprises backbone members 4, 4 joined at their upper ends by a U-shaped handle 12 and at their lower ends by a cross-member 7 which supports the bottom of the bag 3. The wheels 1 are carried by arms 8, 9 and a seat member 13 is carried by members 14, 17, the members 9 and 14 being pivoted to sleeves 19 slidable along the members 4 to collapse the carrier. The golf clubs may be carried in individual containers of metal tube, or canvas instead of the normal golf-bag. In the golf-club carrier illustrated in Fig. 6 the golf clubs are carried in two banks of metal tubes 33 hinged to the central box 31 near the bottom at 36 and by plate-members 41, 42 to the box 31 at the top so that when both sets of tubes are inclined outwardly a seat is formed. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 636,937.
