Abstract

662,882. Golf bag carriers. WATSON, H. G. April 28,1949, No. 11342/49. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Oct. 29, 1949]. Class 108 (i) A golf bag carrier has a backbone 10 to the underside of which is secured a housing 26 to which is pivotally attached a frame 30 carrying pivoted legs 35, 36, 37 and 38. The outer ends of the legs carry blocks 45 45a to which the wheels are pivotally secured. Struts 61. 62 are also provided to maintain the carrier in its extended or collapsed condition by engagement with recesses 51, 52 in the frame 30 and recesses 53, 54 in the blocks 45a and 45. The carrier is collapsed by sliding the struts 61, 62 along the pivot pins against the action of springs 47, thereby disengaging the struts from the locking recesses, the blocks 45, 45a are then folded inwardly and the legs collapsed outwardly and the frame 30 is rotated to bring he legs alongside the backbone. Another embodiment is described in which the axes of the pivot pins for the wheel-supporting members are at right-angles to the backbone 10.
