[Class 108 (i)] A folding stretcher carrier to receive two stretchers, one above the other, comprises base-pieces a, b carrying the lower stretcher side channels e, the upper stretcher side channels k. being supported on cross-rods j fixed to struts m each pivoted to a bracket n on the bases a, b by removable pins o. Each strut m is supported in position by a link i pivoted to the strut and to the base. A fixed hook p and hook q rotatable by a handle r, which can be locked in position by a removable bolt t, retain the stretcher in position on the channels. When it is desired to collapse the carrier, the pins o are removed to allow the struts m to fold down as shown in Fig. 4.
