Abstract
463,827. Folding cots, tables, &c. SCHOLL MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd., and NORRIS, G. THORNTON-. Feb. 20, 1936, No. 5142. [Classes 52 (ii), 52 (iii), and 52 (v)] In a folding frame for cots, tables, or other articles of the kind comprising two pairs of U-shaped members a, a<1> and c, c<1> pivoted to plates or blocks b the members a, a<1> are adapted to be turned down so far as to cross to form a base, and the members c, c<1> are adapted to be opened to a limited extent and then locked, e.g. by folding links d, so as to provide end supports for the cot g or other article. The blocks b, b<1> comprise spaced plates with abutments against which the members rest in opened position, and an additional U-shaped member f may be provided to support a sun screen h; projections dl or d<x> on the links d hold the member f in position. The cot g consists of a canvas bag attached to the members c, c<1> e.g. by turn buttons. When the frame is used for a table, a table top comprising two hinged parts may be hinged to one of the members c, cl.
