Abstract

645,552. Bed settees. LINDNER, D. M. Oct. 4, 1948, No. 25790. [Class 52 (ii)] A bed settee comprises a supporting frame, preferably tubular, and a number of mutually pivoted frames 11, 12, 13. The frame 13 is normally the back and is pivoted at 14 to a cross-member 65 of the supporting frame while the frames 11, 12 lie horizontally within the supporting frame. Squabs or cushions 19, 20, 21 are provided. To convert to a bed the cushions are removed and frame 13 rotated clockwise so that the frames 11, 12 close on to it whereupon the clockwise rotation of all the frames 11, 12, 13 is continued until they rest horizontally above the supporting frame. The frames 11, 12 are then unfolded outwardly into line with frame 13. Frames 11, 12, and 13 if desired may be provided with folding legs 17 and struts 18.
