785,321. Bed-settees. STEEL & CO., Ltd., W. April 20, 1955 [Feb. 14, 1955], No. 4298/55. Class 52(2) A bed-settee with a back frame 2 pivoted to a seat frame 1 has a wire mattress 13 secured to the seat and back frames to extend continuously thereacross and a floor engaging support 16 is pivotally secured to end frame members 11 of the back frame 2 and has a link 19, pivoted to the member 16 and a lug 21 on seat frame end member 4 so as to move the support into the appropriate position as the back is raised or lowered to form the seat or bed. A latch 23 pivoted to member 11 engages the end of link 19 to secure the link in position as a strut locking the back rest in upright position.
