In a bed-settee of the type in which a folded, multi-section mattress frame is lowered into a compartment to form the settee seat, mattress frame sections 35 and 33 are locked, in parallel, by folding leg frame 86 downwardly, to bring pivot 90 below the line of pivots 89 and 92. On lifting the leg frame to bring pivot 90 above this line, section 35 may be moved into alignment with section 34, while links 91 and 88 erect leg frame 86.
