[Class 52 (ii)] A chair bed comprises a central frame a to which head and foot frames b, c are pivoted by means of brackets e the pivots 12 of one pair of brackets e being at a greater distance from the central frame a than the pivots 12 of the other pair of brackets so that the head and foot frames b, c may fold snugly on to the central frame a Leg frames d are likewise pivoted to the brackets e the pivots 13 being disposed similarly to the pivots 12 to facilitate folding of the leg frames d. Various means are provided as abutments for the head and foot frames b, c. A canvas &c. surface 23 is secured to the frames.
