Abstract

632,456. Furniture frames. JONES, C. E. P. Oct. 23, 1947, No. 28391. [Class 52 (ii)] Furniture frames such as chair, table, or bed frames, of the cantilever type are constructed for nesting by arranging that the portions which connect the legs to the base extend towards one another and therefore form torsion springs when under load. Fig. 4 shows a chair frame in which the portions 16 connecting a leg 14 to the base portion 15 are directed to one another. When arm rests are provided the arm rests 25, Fig. 8, are off-set from the plane of the legs 14. Specification 445,751 is referred to.
