Abstract

607,373. Stackable furniture. BENNET. Ltd., J. D., and BENNET, J. S. Jan. 31, 1946, No. 3187. [Class 52(ii)] Stackable tables, desks, chairs &c. have a frame including a vertical inverted U- shaped member 11 the lower ends of which constitute feet, a horizontal U-shaped member 12 narrower than the member 11 and having the ends of its arms attached to the member 11, a lower member or members 15 attached to the member 11 and forming the other two feet, and a strut 13 between the members 12, 15. As shown the feet 15 are joined by a member 14 to which the strut is connected. A desk top and receptacle fits in the member 12. The parts may be welded together or detachably connected by screws. In the case of a chair the member 11 is extended upwardly above the seat frame 12 to form the back. Specification 523,290 is referred to.
