Abstract

727,115. Laminated springs. TOLEDO WOODHEAD SPRINGS, Ltd. Dec. 29, 1953 [June 26, 1953; July 11, 1953], Nos. 17717/53 and 19290/53. Class 108 (3). A rebound clip for a laminated spring comprises a distance-piece in the form of a wire helix 8, through which passes the locking bolt 3 for securing the arms 2, 2<SP>1</SP> of the yoke 1 of the clip. The helix 8 has at one end, turns 10 of smaller diameter, which engage threads 6 of the bolt 3. The threads 6 also engage the arm 2, but the end of the bolt may, in addition, be riveted over. The ends of the helix 8 may be ground square. In a modification (Fig. 1, not shown), there is no reduced diameter portion 10 of the helix 8.
