723,266. Gas-turbine plant; motor-power plant. ROVER CO., Ltd. June 12, 1953 [June 23, 1952], No. 15726/52. Class 110 (3). A vehicle gas-turbine plant comprises a power turbine e and a compressor turbine d, the compressor being also drivingly connected with an electric motor o through an automatic clutch n, and the motor is controlled by a driver-operable switch and by a switch responsive directly or indirectly to the speed of the compressor. The compressor g is driven by the turbine d and is connected through gearing j, k, m and the clutch n to the motor o which may be the starter motor. The motor is connected to a battery p through an electromagnetic switch q. The circuit of the solenoid r includes a manually-operable switch s, a switch u which is operable by the accelerator pedal v and the switch t which is responsive to the pressure of the compressor discharge. The switch t is connected to a spring-loaded piston x in a cylinder w, the upper side being connected by pipe z to the compressor discharge.
