Abstract
722,522. Stoking devices. RHEINPREUSSEN AKT.-GES. FœR BERGBAU UND CHEMIE Oct. 31, 1951, [Oct. 1, 1948.] No. 25521/51. Class 51 (1). A stoking and levelling device for a travelling grate comprises a blade, fixedly mounted on a rotatable shaft, extending over the width of the grate so as on rotation of the shaft to apply a force on the fuel in a direction opposite to that of its movement on the grate. The drawing shows two levelling devices comprising blades F<SP>1</SP>, F<SP>2</SP>, of triangular section, each extending over the' whole width of the grate and mounted on shafts H, I, respectively, the shafts being rotated by chain gearing from the rear drive shaft C of the grate A. More than one blade may be provided on each shaft. The blades may be water-cooled.
