A variable-throw eccentric 4 gyrates a ring 9, prevented from rotating by an Oldham coupling connection 10, 12, 13 to fixed members 15, and having pivoted thereon pawls 17 co-acting with a driven ratchet wheel 18. A sliding wedge 8 operates in an arcuate slot in the eccentric 4 to displace it relative to a driving-shaft 2 about a pivot pin 5 mounted therein, the wedge 8 being mounted on a rod 6 axially movable by a knurlheaded bolt 7 screwing into the shaft 2.
