Abstract

Spinning nozzles, especially for spinning polyamide and acetate fibres are formed of steel alloys containing up to 0.3 per cent. C, 21.0-32.0 per cent. Cr and the remainder Fe with the usual contents of S, P, Mn and Si. The alloy may also include the carbide forming elements Ta up to 6.0 per cent, Nb up to 3.0 per cent and Ti up to 1.5 per cent. these elements when more than one is used not exceeding 6 per cent. in total. Up to 0.3 per cent. of N and up to 6.0 per cent. of Ni may also be included. Specifications 416,811 453,056, 505,251 and 614,732 are referred to.
