Abstract
A cold reduced alloy steel comprises:- .Ni.3.5-6.6% .C.0.05-0.15% .Cr.15.5-18% .Mn.not more than 2% .Si.not more than 1% the balance, apart from nitrogen and other impurities present in normal amounts, being iron. Within the above ranges the carbon, nickel and chromium contents are so arranged that the plot of adjusted nickel vs. carbon lies within the area a-b-c-d-e-a cn Fig. 1. The adjusted nickel is defined as <FORM:1029184/C6-C7/1> <PICT:1029184/C6-C7/1>
