Class 39 (3) A workpiece comprising tubular parts 1, 2 to be brazed is heated by a pair of members 3, Fig. 1, each comprising terminal parts 10, 11 and semi-cylindrical parts 4, 5 for surrounding the workpiece. The parts 4, 5 have slots 8, 9 for obtaining a more uniform current distribution therethrough, and thereby a desired heating of the tubular parts 1, 2. In Fig. 3, each inductor member 13 has current supply conductors 14, 15 connected to parts 16, 19 separated by a slot 17 opening into a slot 20 in a part 22, and the current flows in the direction of the arrows.
