Abstract
1,020,414. Inductive heating. DEUTSCHE EDELSTAHLWERKE A.G., and ALLGEMEINE ELEKTRICITATS-GESELLSCHAFT. Aug. 4, 1964 [Aug. 5, 1963], No. 31478/64. Heading H5H. To produce a desired heating pattern by a closed loop inductor for heat treatment of e.g. cylindrical workpieces, holes or slots 8 are formed in a web 7 connecting two hollow liquidcooled conductors 1. The conductors are connected by feeders 3 to the supply and provided with magnetic yokes 6. The Specification states that without holes in the web, the heat penetration pattern is as in Fig. 6b; too many holes results in a pattern as Fig. 6a; with the right number a desired pattern, Fig. 6c, may be obtained.
