Abstract
1504653 Inductive heating apparatus AEG-ELOTHERM GmbH 30 April 1976 [2 May 1975] 17738/76 Heading H2H Apparatus for inductively heating a workpiece 1, 2 comprises an inductor having two branches 5, 6 of copper conductor laid along the workpiece, the branches being interconnected at one end by a semicircular conductor 7 and the other ends connected to a medium frequency A.C. source 17 by means of a second semicircular conductor 8 and conductors 10, 11, the apparatus further including an auxiliary inductor comprising a copper conductor 20 connected to the junction of conductors 6 and 7, and to a conductor 21, a conductor 22 being connected to the junction of conductors 5 and 7; the conductors 21, 22 being connected to a resonant circuit 23 which includes a variable capacitor 26 and a transformer 25, the resonance being variable by means of the capacitor 26. The heating of the workpiece 1, 2 may thus be variable in different portions thereof.
