SOPIN. 12 May, 1969 [12 May, 1968], No. 23962/69. Heading H1T. [Also in Division H2] In a high-frequency induction heating system, the -power delivered to the heating element is varied without altering the frequency of any of the associated oscillators. In one embodiment, this is effected by means of a transformer having a primary winding 13 and a single turn secondary winding 10, means being provided whereby the primary winding 13 can be moved relatively to the secondary winding 10 in order to vary the coupling therebetween, the adjusting means simultaneously varying the capacity of a capacitor 14. In a second embodiment two variable inductors are connected in series with the power supply to the heating element, the inductors being varied by means of sliders which are simultaneously moved along the turns of the windings of the inductors.
