Abstract
590,101. Coils for dynamo - electric machines; inductor-alternators. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., WALKER, J. H., and MIDDLETON, G. E. April 12, 1945, No. 9109. [Class 35] The condenser normally connected in series with an inductor alternator winding is incorporated into the winding by forming the slot conductor of a series of parallel connected insulated laminae extending along the slot and interleaved with a second series extending from the other end of the slot. As shown, the laminµ 1, 2 are separated by insulating material 3 preferably of high specific inductive capacity. The slot conductors may be connected in series or parallel or the capacitative part may be connected in parallel with sections of a continuous conductor. The flat laminµ may be replaced by spirally wound strips and the alternator may be of the construction described in Specification 554,827.
