Abstract

1,161,774. Inductors. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP. 17 Feb., 1967 [21 Feb., 1966], No. 7629/67. Heading H1T. An inductor including a flat substrate 7 comprises a first group (1) (Fig. 1, not shown), of regularly spaced conductive strips 2 on the substrate, a core 10 in the form of a lamina of ferrite lying on middle portions of the strips 2 and on the substrate between the strips, and a second group (11) (Fig. 3, not shown) of conductive strips 12 regularly spaced and with middle portions thereof lying on the lamina and end portions lying on and connecting end portions of adjacent strips of the first group to form a winding about the ferrite and including a phurality of full turns each constituted by two conductive strips, one from the first group and one from the second group. The groups may be oppositely slanted with respect to the ferrite (as shown), or may be transverse to it (Fig. 5, not shown). Alternatively the ferrite may be in the form of an annulus (Fig. 6, not shown), and in this case the inductance value can be altered by removing part of the ferrite not encompassed by the winding.
