Class 74 (2) A flat warp knitting-machine has bearded needles 2 mounted in a needle bar 1 operated by eccentrics 6, 11 such that the needles are caused to move in a figure of eight path. in their movement the needles take yarn from stationary yarn guides 15 and are operated on by pressers 16 which receive their movement from eccentrics mounted on a shaft 23. The sinkers P are given a continuous to and fro motion by an eccentric also mounted on the shaft 22. Specifications 638,421 and 644,292 are referred to.
