732,931. Knitting-machines. VEB-KONSTRUKTION UND ENTWICKLUNG FUR TEXTILMASCHINEN. Feb. 18, 1953, No. 4575/53. Class 74 (2). The knock-over bits 2 of a straight-bar machine have their vertical and horizontal components of movement imparted to them through levers 13, 18 acting through crank levers 7, 4. The lever 4 is supported by the upper end of lever 7 and the lever 7 is mounted on a shaft 8 which is above the lower end of the sinker bar 10. Alternatively, the movement of the levers 13, 18 may be transmitted through eccentrics.
