Abstract

697,018. Knitting-machines. MONK, S. A. Sept. 12, 1951. [Sept. 12, 1950] No. 22376/50. Class 74 (ii). The catch bar 1 of a straight-bar machine is operated to advance and retract the sinkers positively in both directions. For this purpose the catch bar is adjustably attached to a rocker arm 3 which derives its motion through a shaft 6 from two levers 7, 8 secured to the shaft 6 and carrying followers 10, 14 in contact with cams 13, 17. The levers 7, 8 may be integral or separate and the followers 10, 14 are adjustably secured to the ends of the levers.
