A warp machine comprises a single camshaft actuating needles, sinkers, pressers and warp guides and a fixed shaft supporting, members carrying needle, sinker and presser bars. In one embodiment, Figs. 3, 4, the sinker bar 11 and presser bar 10 are each carried by a lever pivoted on the fixed shaft F and each having a follower midway its length engaged by a positive cam on the cam-shaft R. A similar lever 18 having a follower 19 engaged by a cam 20, controls the swinging of the warp guide bars 22, 23 about a support shaft A, through a link 38 and a lever 37. The warp guides are shogged in known manner. The bar 22 is raised clear of the bar 23 manually by a forked lever 44 acting on a pin 42 secured to the hub 35 of the arm 28 supporting the bar 22, for threading up purposes. The needle bar 46 is oscillated by a cam 47 and follower 52 and is guided by being attached to a tube 48 sliding in sleeve 49 secured in brackets 50, 54 on the shafts F and R. In the second embodiment, Fig. 9, the guidebars 22, 23 are carried on a lever 61 pivoted on the shaft F and oscillated by a follower 19 and cam 20. The bar 22 is pivoted on the arm 61 and may be raised manually clear of the needles, being held in its extreme positions by a spring snap device 69. The sinker and presser bars are mounted and operated as in the first embodiment. The needle bar 46 is carried by an arm 80 mounted freely on the shaft R and is oscillated by a lever 62 linked to the arm 80 and carrying a follower 52 engaged by a cam 47.
