Abstract

708,678. Endless-chain conveyers. GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHUTTE WESTFALIA. Feb. 6, 1952 [March 13, 1951], No. 3160/52. Class 78 (1) In. a conveyer for use in inclined workings of the kind having a single positively-guided chain 15 carrying conveying discs 12, the trough is so supported by wedge-shaped frames 21, 22 that the forward run 10 is sufficiently strengthened to serve as a guide for a coal-getting machine 24 and the return run 11 is raised from the ground so that stowage material carried thereby can be delivered from a height by swinging downwardly a part of the side wall 28 about a pivot 29. The discs 12 are hinged by pins 13 to links 14 of the chain 15. The chain slides in guides 16, 17 which are held together by screws 18. An inverted V member 20 welded to the guide 16 increases the capacity of the trough and acts as a support for members 26 projecting from the machine 24.
