Class 139 A timepiece mechanism having a lever escapement is characterized in that the regulator arm, which is provided with an open-ended curb slot for engagement with the outermost coil of the balance spring, comprises a one-piece metal stamping which includes an apertured central enlargement wherein are provided inwardly - directed resilient tongues adapted to grip an extension or shank of one of the bearings of the balance wheel arbor. The cut or stamped sheet metal regulator i, Figs. 2 and 3, has a central part i' and a head i<SP>5</SP> with an open ended curb slot i<SP>6</SP>. The part i' is apertured at i<SP>2</SP> and has oppositely directed resilient tongues i<SP>3</SP> which grip the extension h<SP>1</SP> of the balance staff bearing h to which the regulator is attached.
