Class 139 In a clock the pendulum starting lever 14 is mounted in a bush 15 and is bent to the shape shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the end 14b co-operating with the pendulum crutch and the end 14d<SP>1</SP> forming a handle. The lever is flattened at 14c<SP>1</SP> and a disc 16 is mounted thereon. The inner end of the sleeve 15 is tapered so that the sleeve may be forced into the bore. In other examples the lever in its operative position locks the striking mechanism and is retained by a coil spring or by a cup spring.
