Abstract

659,586. Clocks; moving-signs. LLOYD, W. J. Dec. 15, 1949, No. 32226. [Classes 3(i) and 139] The time controlling element of a clock comprises a helical spring 7, Figs. 1 and 2 which through a double armed lever 6 a lever 5 and an arbor 4 controls an anchor 3 which co-operates with an escape wheel 2. The helical spring 7 is fixed at its top to a rotatable disc member 9 and carries a weight receiving tray 12 the vertical position of which may be varied to adjust the effective length of the spring 7. In the example shown the weight is in the form of a toy figure 11.
