In a clock the centre minute spindle 7 passes through a hollow seconds spindle 6 and drives the hollow hour spindle 10 through the motion work 8, 9. For setting purposes the minute hand 16 is mounted on one part 17 of a dog clutch the other part 18 of which is carried by an axially movable spindle 23 mounted in the glass 20 and rotatable by a knob 19.
