Abstract
682,646. Watches. GRUEN WATCH MFG. CO., SOC. ANON. Nov. 29, 1950 [Dec. 2, 1949], No. 29275/50. Class 139. A watch movement having an automatic winding mechanism operated by an oscillatory weight which is pivotally mounted in the centre of a non-circular movement plate is characterized in that at least one movable member of the watch movement, situated beneath the oscillatory weight, extends outwardly beyond the circular path described by the outer edge of the oscillatory weight. The oscillatory weight 2, Figs. 1 and 2, is mounted on a shaft 4 at the centre of the movement. The shaft 4 carries a pinion 6 which through the gear train 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 described in Specification 651,211 winds up the mainspring in the barrel 15. The peripheries of the barrel gear 19, the balance 16 and the escape wheel 22 extend beyond the path described by the edge of the weight 2.
