Abstract

698,480. Clocks and watches. ETABLISSEMENTS FRESARD-PANNETTON Oct. 12, 1951 [Dec. 21, 1950]. No. 23843/51. Class 139. Automatic winding means for time-piece movements comprising a rotor rigidly united with a pinion, which, when the rotor pivots under the action of shocks that it receives, determines, always in the same direction, the driving of the first wheel of a train of gears leading to the barrel, through the medium of two pinions, meshing with one another, brought alternatively into engagement with the first wheel by tangential forces exerted upon one of them by the pinion bound to the rotor, with which it is always in mesh, is characterized in that the pivots of the two intermediate pinions are independent and are guided in apertures formed in a bridge. The rotor or weight 1, Figs. 1 and 2, oscillates about a pivot 3 and is integral with a pinion 2 constantly in mesh with a pinion 9a carried by a pivot 10a. The pinion 9a constantly meshes with a pinion 9b carried by a pivot 10b. The feet of the pivots 10a, 10b rest on a plate 7 but their tops are free to move in slots 11a, 11b in a bridge 12, Fig. 1. The slots 11a, 11b and pinions 9a, 9b are so shaped and arranged that when the 'weight 1 swings clockwise the pinion 9a is moved into mesh with a gear 15 and rotates it clockwise and when the weight 1 swings counter-clockwise, Fig. 1, the pinion 9b is moved into mesh with the gear 15 and rotates it clockwise again. The gear 15 winds up the mainspring R, Fig. 2, through the gears 16, 17, 18, 19, ,Fig. 1 The plate 7 has a flange 7c by which it is fixed to the case 3. The pivot 3 is mounted in ruby bearings 4 and 5 in a boss 7a of the plate 7. Between the bearings 4 and 5 there is a reservoir of oil 6.
