Abstract

718,896. Clocks. ELBERG, B. June 14, 1951 [June 28, 1950], No. 16107/50. Class 139 [Also in Group XIX] Date-indicating mechanism is incorporated in an alarm clock of conventional kind, the mechanism (see Group XIX) being carried on a plate 1, Fig. 6, mounted in the position normally occupied by the dial plate 2, the latter being spaced from the plate 1 by spacers 76, 77 and various spindles, e.g. 47. An extension 48 is fitted to the end of the usual minutes spindle 16 to carry the minutes hand 20. The alarmsetting hand 5 is carried on a central cannon 4 turned by a setting knob 91, Fig. 2, on a shaft 9 having a pinion 8 connected by gearing 10, 6 to the cannon 4. Shafts, e.g. 62, for adjusting the date mechanism pass freely through the alarm bell 57.
