[Class 139] In stopping - mechanism for alarm clocks the stopping lever 6 coacts with a resilient hook 8 on an arm 9 which is frictionally mounted upon the alarm winding shaft 10 so that it is carried round with the latter to a predetermined limited extent. This limit is decided by a fixed pillar 12 and the forked end of arm 9. When lever 6 is depressed against spring 5, it locks under hook 8 and holds down a lever 7 on the hammer shaft 7<1> so that anchor 2 locks the alarm escape wheel 1. Shaft 10 is turned counterclockwise to wind up the alarm spring.
