Abstract

375,635. Watches. AUTOMATIC E. M. S. A., 61, Rue Jacob Brandt, La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland. Sept. 28, 1931, No. 27019. Convention date, March 5. Addition to 375,626. [Class 139.] Winding apparatus.-In an improvement on the parent invention the winding unit comprises a ring 11 surrounding the movement A to which it is detachably secured by locking members 14 rotation of which forces the ring 11 against a flange 15. The pendulum 1, 2, which drives the spring down 7 through a pawl and ratchet 6, is pivoted at 3 between two flanges 4, 5 spaced apart by screws and secured to a crown element 13 fixed to the ring 11 by screws 23 passing through a block 17, Fig. 1. The latter carries spring stops 18 for the pendulum which is provided with hard points 10 frictionally to engage the crown 13 or ring 11 if there is undue play at the pivot 3. To position the ring on the movement the latter carries a pin 19 adapted to engage a slot 20 in the ring 11. A pin 21 on the crown 13 engages in a positioning hole 22 of block 17 indicated by a slot 25.
