Class 139 In a self-winding timepiece the rotor is mounted by a ball bearing 4, Fig. 1, on a plate 2 and an eccentric pin 7 fixed to the rotor rocks a plate 10 which is forked at 8, Fig. 2, to embrace bush 12 on the spindle 16 of a ratchet gear 18 in the winding train. Driving pawls 11, 13 which actuate the ratchet 18 are mounted on arms 28, 28<1>, pivotally mounted by pins 29, 21 on the plate 10. The arms 28, 28<1> are acted on by springs 30, 30<1> which yield when the mainspring is fully wound. In another example, Fig. 4, the pin 9 which effects movement of the plate 10 is normally held by a spring 34 which yields when the mainspring is fully wound.
