Abstract

A flux comprising sodium 9.0 per cent., potassium 12.1 per cent., lithium 6.2 per cent., chloride ion 45.5 per cent., fluoride ion 3.8 per cent. and moisture to 100 per cent. is used in a process of fusion welding aluminium or aluminium alloy to a metal of higher melting point.
