Abstract
705,682. Ladder UREN, B. J. March 28, 1952 [April 2, 1951 ; July 19, 1951], Nos. 7609/51 and 17151/51. Class 20 (2) A non-slipping device for attachment to the foot of a ladder comprises struts 1, 2 pivotally attached one above the other to the ladder, the forked end 8 of the upper strut 1 straddling the strut 2 and bearing against a pin 10 selectively inserted in one of a series of holes 9 in the strut 2 whose lower end engages the ground. The struts 1, 2 are pivotally secured to a pair of mounting boards or, as shown, to a single board 5 clamped to ladder rungs 6 by means of bars 14, 15 and bolts 17 or alternatively by U-bolts.
