Abstract

668,595. Trestle scaffolding. LAING & SON, Ltd., J. June 13, 1950, No. 14752/50. Class 20(ii) A trestle for supporting scaffold boards is formed by a pair of frames each comprising a pair of legs 1, Fig. 2, connected by cross-bars 2, 2a, 3, 3a which are so spaced that when a board 4 is placed in either an edge-on position, Fig. 2, or in a flat position, Fig. 3, between selected pairs of the bars and the frames are inclined to the vertical, each pair of bars grips the board to form a rigid structure. Straps 5 locate and support the board in its edge-on position. The staging boards can be laid flat on any of the cross-bars.
