898,252. Tamping concrete; trestle scaffolding. CAUSEWAY REINFORCEMENT Ltd. Dec. 21, 1960 [Oct. 8, 1959], No. 34136/59. Classes 20(2) and 107 A device for supporting a guide rail for concrete tamping means comprises a member 1 supported by legs 2 rigid therewith, a member 7 mounted within the member 1 for vertical sliding movement relative thereto and carrying a support 8 for a guide rail and releasable means for locking the member 7 to the member 1. A pair of support devices are placed at either side of a concrete area to be tamped and a guide rail for a tamping board is placed in the support 8. A similar support 9 mounted on the upper end of the member 7 enables the device to be used as a trestle or scaffolding platform support.
