Abstract

823,849. Ladders. HALL, T. V. March 19, 1957 [Dec. 19, 1955], No. 36283/55. Class 20(2) In a collapsible ladder the side members are formed of sections 1a connected by hinged links 4 and sleeves 12 are adapted to be slid over the link to lock the sections rigidly together. The rungs comprise two parts 14, 15 hinged together at 17 and pivoted to the side members so that the ladder may be folded laterally. The side members are of square tube having plugs 8 to which the links 4 and the rungs are pivoted. Rigid or hinged members 21 space the ladder from a wall. The ladder may be. suspended by hooks 24 and may have rubber feet fixed in the bottom of the side members.
