Abstract
1301756 Suspended scaffolding A MYLAEUS 14 Dec 1970 59388/70 Heading E1S A hanging cradle scaffolding, for attachment to a wall or the side of a ship, comprises planks 7 supported on two or more frameworks each constructed from cross-brackets 5 and tubular rods 3, 4 which are pivotally jointed together, as shown, to form a multitier collapsible structure, a diagonal rod 10 of adjustable length being fitted across the upper tier of the framework to hold it in the non-collapsed state and to provide angular adjustment of the rods 3, 4 to follow the shape of the structure being worked on, and hooks 8 being provided for attachment to the structure. As shown, the cross-brackets 5 are Z- shaped with the pivotal joints 6 located in the ends of the arms thereof so that the joints are staggered to facilitate folding. The diagonal rod 10 is adjustable by a screw shackle 10' and is detachable at one end 12 from the framework to permit folding, (Fig. 1, not shown).
