A scaffold including internal ladders and platforms is constructed with platforms, e.g. 72, which extend only partly either across the width (as shown) or along the length (Figs. 4.7, not shown) of the scaffolding from alternate side or end edges, respectively, thereof, and ladders, e.g. 90, which extend up from points, e.g. 96, 98 intermediate the ends of each platform, where they are pivotally attached to braces, e.g. 58, 60, supporting said platforms, to transverse braces, e.g. 48, which are at, or adjacent one end of the framework. Where the gap for the ladder is towards one end of the platform, a movable platform section may fill up the gap when required.
