Abstract

1348777 Collapsible canopies P E SUMMERTON 6 Aug 1971 [6 Aug 1970] 37899/70 Heading E1J A collapsible canopy adapted to be releasably positioned on a wall adjacent to a window &c to provide protection for a workman, comprises a pair of uprights 8 each having securing means 13, 14 and a pivotal arrangement of intersecting arms 15, 16 suppor:ing transverse bars 23, 24, 25 which carry a plastics sheeting 26, and is so adapted that the canopy can be moved from its position spaced from the wall, as shown, to a position adjacent the wall by removing each arm 15 from its connection in the slot 18 and repositioning it in a lower slot 29 in the upright 8. The plastics sheeting is wrapped around the bars 23, 25 at its ends, and the tension thereof holds the bars in slots at the ends of uprights 8 and arms 15, 16.
