Abstract
699,992. High-frequency attenuators. WALLAUSCHEK, R. Nov. 6, 1951 [Nov. 18, 1950], No. 25990/51. Class 40 (viii). A high-frequency attenuator consists of a length 101 of cylindrical guide having at one end an input coaxial line having its outer 100 connected to the guide, and its inner conductor 103 connected to a conducting but resistive coating 110, deposited on an insulating disc 108 and connecting conductor 103 to the guide wall 101, while at the other end of guide 101 the outer conductor 102 of an output coaxial line fits within the guide and its inner conductor 105 is connected by a flared member 112, consisting of a resistive coating on an insulating support, with a metal plate 113 insulated from the outer conductors. The attenuator is adjusted by sliding the output construction along the guide. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 626,632.
