698,388. Valves. SVENSKA AZTIEBOLAGET GASACCUMULATOR. March 5, 1952 [March 12, 1951; March 12, 1951], No. 5752/52. Class 135 In a valve consisting of a valve chamber having spaced ports therein, and a closure member movably mounted in the chamber so as to press against the peripheral wall thereof and so control flow through the ports, the closure member comprises a resilient leaf capable of selectively closing one of the ports and having its ends rigidly secured to a supporting member. In an embodiment for selectively controlling the supply of anaesthetic and oxygen through inlets 5, 6. respectively, to an outlet 7 leading to a breathing mask. the closure member comprises a leaf spring 14 with its ends held in radial grooves in a cylinder 8 rotatable about its longitudinal axis. The axle of the cylinder projects outside the valve casing and there carries an operating handle. The casing is cup-shaped with a cover held thereon by bolts 19, 20 which are screwed into the bottom plate of the casing. Abutments 17, 18 projecting from the cylinder limit the rotation of the latter in either direction by contacting the bolt 19 which acts as a stop. All parts of the valve are of metal.
