Abstract
928,232. Valves. DAMIC CONTROLS Ltd. Dec. 28, 1960 [March 14, 1960], No. 8934/60. Class 135. A valve-controlling communication between an inlet 2 and an outlet 3 and operated, e.g. by a solenoid 13 opposed by a compression spring 14 comprises a plunger consisting of portions 7, 8 interconnected by a reduced portion 9 and slidable in a sleeve 4 which has radial ports 6 opening to a reduced diameter outer portion 5 of the sleeve to effect communication between the ports 2, 3 when the plunger is moved to the left to withdraw the portion 7 from engagement with an 0-ring 18 mounted in a dovetailshaped groove 19 in the sleeve and distorted by a screwed ring 20. The plunger portions 7, 8 are provided with 0-ring seals 11 as is also the valve housing at each end of the reduced portion 5 of the sleeve. An adjustable stop 22 limits the closing movement of the valve.
