Abstract

A vane for a particle throwing wheel is cast from abrasion-resistant steel containing C2.5-3.5%; Cr12-26%; Mo 0-6%; V 0-4% 1-5% W can replace an equal amount of Cr. The vane may be heat treated by heating at 1750 DEG F. followed by air quenching.
