696,301. Moulds. BUDERUS'SCHE EISENWERKE. Jan. 12, 1951 [Dec. 21, 1948], No. 963/51. Drawings to Specification. Class 83 (i). A mould for casting metals, particularly iron or steel, is made by sintering a mixture of metallic powder with high-melting-point non- metallic powder such as allunina and/or silicon carbide. The mould may be inserted in a metal casing and externally cooled by oil, water or air. A centrifugal mould for casting pipes may comprise a sintered member within a thin steel casing.
